Review: imPRESS Press-On Manicure

Are you a busy Mom? Are you constantly on the go, but desperately needing a quick makeover to your nails?  Do you need a manicure but can't afford the cost of visiting a salon?  Have little girls who like to play dress up, but don't want to damage their little nails with nail glue?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then a super fun, and easy solution I'd like to share with you is the imPress Press On Manicure!

PRODUCT:
imPress Press On Manicures
A revolutionary way to apply nail polish in the form of a  water proof press on manicure that is long lasting and doesn't damage nails!

IMPRESSION:
Holy CUTE!! These imPress Manicures are so much fun to play with. Not only are they EASY to apply, they are completely customizable, meaning you can mix and match your manicure to your mood, or your outfits! I had so much fun putting these on myself, and my daughters.

To apply, first make sure your nails are free of nail polish and then you can begin. Each nail kit contains an alcohol prep pad and a nail file. Start by rubbing the alcohol pad along the surface of each nail. Then you can separate out your nails by size and fit. Then you peel the plastic backing off and stick to your natural nail, holding and pressing each nail for a few seconds to ensure it's secure. Once all nails are done, you can use the file to shape and customize your fit.  I found this process to take all of 10 minutes!   I left my imPress manicure on my nails for 3 days before one came loose and I peeled all of them off. Not bad at all!  I will definitely use these again!!

I got 2 samples to try out, in the designs, Harlem Shake which was an accent nail pack, and Tweetheart which included 2 cute heart accessories that adhere to nails after applied!

PROS:
-Long-Lasting!
-Very STICKY!
-24 Nails per pack with 12 varying sizes.
-No Glue!
-Zero Drying Time
-Flexible
-Quick to apply and easy to remove!
-These come in varying designs and colors!
-Affordable!

CONS:
-Not reusable.
-Sizes.
I personally have wide nail beds, and I felt that the fit, though each package comes with a great selection of fit (12 different sizes), that some were simply too small for my nails, and therefore left a little bit of my natural nail exposed.  To remedy this, I took a nail polish that matched, and "covered" what wasn't.  It worked just fine. Didn't make me love these any less!

Book Review: AUTUMN BRIDES: A YEAR OF WEDDINGS NOVELLA COLLECTION

Autumn Brides is a Novella which contains 3 short stories, A September Bride by Kathryn Springer, An October Bride by Katie Ganshert, and A November Bride by Beth K. Vogt. Each story is about a wedding that is to take place and the unique way each of them come to be.

  • Series: A Year of Weddings Novella

  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 0310339243
  • ISBN-13: 978-0310339243

Summary:

In A September Bride, Annie Price is the town of Red Leaf's newest resident and soon is given a lot of responsibility that Deputy Jesse Kent, a long time resident has a hard time accepting.  Jesse decides to keep a very close eye on Annie, so close that he ends up involved in all things "Annie".  He finds himself and Annie both at the same time, volunteered into participating in the town's historical reenactment of a very famous wedding, as non other than the bride and the groom.  Before you know it, these two have fallen for each other!

In An October Bride, a woman stumbles upon her dying father's bucket wish list. What she finds is that at the very bottom of the list, a yet to be completed task.. "Walk Emma down the isle." Emma discusses this with her close friend Jake and together hatch a brilliant plan to marry, but for pretend, just so her father has enough time. One thing becomes quickly apparent, and that is that Emma doesn't want to pretend because she is secretly in love with Jake. With her father's blessing, anything is possible!

In a November Bride, Sadie finds herself turning 30 and terribly tired of having boring relationships that do not seem to last very long. She's a woman on a mission to get married and have children, and despite only turning 30, she's convinced her biological clock is ticking.  Her friend Erik and her share a mutual love for texting, and together decide that after 17 years of being friends, and going on 3 dates, that it's now or never when it comes to love! They decide to jump the gun and get married during a surprise "engagement party!"

Impression:

What I loved about these three romantic stories was how heart warmingly realistic they all were and how I could relate to each character from the varying perspectives. Even the point of view of the males shared valuable insight into each story, especially in A September Bride. I really enjoyed the character Jesse. Felt like I could understand his feelings and how he was nosy and protective and harbored this tough exterior but was really mushy inside.
Overall,
I really loved this style of book, and I felt like each story was a good length. I was not bored at all, and didn't put the book down until I finished all 3 stories.  At the end of each story there is a series of Discussion Questions.  This keeps you guessing and keeps the story going even after it's over!

I'd recommend this type of book for a young adult audience or somebody who is interested particularly in weddings. It's very light hearted, fun, easy to read and overall inspiring.

Review: OZ Naturals SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Moisturizer

For those women who spend a lot of time outside in the sun, wearing sunscreen is always important, but not always easy to do remember to put on when you like to wear makeup.   Wearing a tinted moisturizer can help! Even better is wearing one that contains an spf.  It's time to protect your skin without making any sacrifices!  A product that I recommend is OZ Naturals Spf 30 Tinted Moisturizer.

About:
This product is a Broad Spectrum Age-Defying Solar Shield Tinted Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide that protects your skin from the harmful damage caused by the sun's UV rays.

Pros:
Contains SPF 30
Safe for all skin types.
Can be worn alone as a foundation.
Can be worn under your makeup.
Non-comedogenic which means it will not clog your pores!
Not just for use on your face!

Cons:
Although this product does blend well into the skin, the medium-tint might be too dark for extremely fair complected individuals.

Impression:

This product comes in a 2fl oz tube. Upon opening, I decided to test the product on my forearm since that is where I test all cosmetics for checking pigments, textures, consistencies, etc.  This product was easily blendable and I had no issues with it. It was thick, so a little goes a long way.  There was no fragrance either. I found this moisturizer to be long lasting, and it didn't leave my skin dry, oily, or slick after sweating outside. It oxidizes immediately, so there aren't any surprises in the tint later on after prolonged wear during the day! I recommend this for every woman! Protecting yourself from harmful uv rays is one of the best ways to avoid premature signs of aging!   Oz Naturals never lets me down with any of their products!
